Champ Off-Road Unveils 2026 Schedule, Continuing the Growth and Rebirth of Short-Course Racing
After a record-setting 2025 season and a triumphant return to hallmark tracks in Missouri and California, AMSOIL Championship Off-Road, presented by Brunt Workwear, is ready to write the next chapter in the modern era of short-course off-road racing.
More than 425 drivers competed across 20 classes in 2025, marking another year of exceptional growth and competition across both professional and sportsman divisions. Building on that momentum, the 2026 season will feature eight national weekends stretching from the Midwest’s legendary dirt tracks to the iconic hills of Southern California. The campaign will open with the Show-Me Off-Road Shoutout in Wheatland, Missouri (May 1–3) and close with the Glen Helen Off-Road National in San Bernardino, California (September 25–26), bookending a season that celebrates the sport’s expanding reach and continued resurgence.
“This championship continues to thrive because of the passion and dedication of everyone involved, from our racers and teams to our fans and partners,” said Carl Schubitzke, President of Championship Off-Road and ISOC Racing. “We’ve seen tremendous growth over the past few years, and 2026 will showcase that momentum across every stop on the tour. The future of short-course racing has never been brighter.”

The 2026 season begins in the heart of America as AMSOIL Championship Off-Road returns to Lucas Oil Speedway for its second consecutive year in Wheatland, Missouri. Known for its world-class facilities and fan experience, Lucas Oil Speedway is one of the premier motorsports venues in the country, featuring a purpose-built off-road course surrounded by the high-quality amenities that have made the complex a motorsports destination.
Wheatland’s off-road track, located inside the Lucas Oil complex, delivers massive jumps, wide-open straights, and sweeping corners that encourage bold passing and high speeds. After a thrilling 2025 debut that brought short-course racing back to Missouri, the 2026 season opener promises even more action, as drivers shake off the offseason rust and fire up their title runs in front of an energized Midwest crowd.

The second stop of the season brings the series north to Antigo Lions Roaring Raceway, a historic short-course venue with deep off-road roots. The June 5–7 event delivers a bull-ring style layout that keeps drivers constantly on edge — where tight corners, quick transitions, and short straights test control and consistency lap after lap.
Antigo’s old-school atmosphere and strong community presence make it a favorite for fans and racers alike. Spectators are treated to close, up-front racing, with a track that rewards precision and aggression. The small-town energy and commitment of the local Lions Club give Antigo an unmistakable sense of tradition and pride, ensuring it remains one of the most memorable and authentic weekends of the season.

Few events in off-road racing carry as much prestige as the Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run at Crandon International Raceway. Held June 26–28, this midsummer classic blends history, horsepower, and heritage like no other.
Crandon’s legendary land-rush starts, high-speed straights, and wide racing surface have produced some of the sport’s most iconic moments. Each year, thousands of fans descend on the “Big House” for a weekend that combines festival energy with fierce competition.
Recent seasons have delivered down-to-the-wire, wheel-to-wheel finishes, cementing the Brush Run as one of short-course racing’s can’t-miss showdowns. With both Pro and Sportsman divisions battling for midseason momentum, Crandon’s first of two stops on the schedule sets the stage for the championship push ahead.

Located just outside the Twin Cities, ERX Motor Park returns July 10–12 as one of the premier stops on the 2026 calendar. The venue combines professional-grade facilities with a flowing, technical course that demands balance between finesse and aggression.
The ERX layout features rhythm sections, deep corners, and elevation changes that deliver door-to-door racing from start to finish. Its wide track allows for multiple race lines and constant overtaking opportunities, creating one of the most unpredictable weekends of the year.
With championship implications heating up midseason, ERX consistently produces some of the year’s most thrilling moments. Add in its family-friendly environment, large fan turnout, and top-tier hospitality, and it’s easy to see why Elk River has become a cornerstone event for fans and teams alike.

A true grassroots success story, Dirt City Motorplex in Lena, Wisconsin, will host the Dirt City Off-Road National from July 24–26. Built by sportsman racers for sportsman racers, the track has evolved into a major national destination that now welcomes the world’s best short-course drivers.
The Lena layout may be compact, but it packs big action. Technical corners, rhythm sections, and a tight infield create fast-paced, wheel-to-wheel battles that highlight driver skill and vehicle control. Despite its size, Dirt City is equally suited for the high-horse powered Pro trucks, delivering breathtaking action in every class.
The weekend also features one of the most unique fan traditions on the tour a downtown parade through Lena, where fans and drivers celebrate the sport together before racing kicks off. It’s small-town racing with a national stage, an event that captures the true heart of off-road culture.

The Bark River International Raceway hosts the Island Resort & Casino Off-Road Rumble in the U.P., taking place August 14–16. A cornerstone of the off-road calendar for decades, Bark River’s natural terrain course combines massive elevation changes, high-speed sweepers, and long straights that showcase both driver bravery and machine performance.
The Upper Peninsula faithful bring unmatched energy to this long-standing event, making it one of the most iconic weekends of the summer. The layout’s combination of technical sections and open throttle areas creates a challenge that pushes even the most seasoned racers to their limits.
Known as a “driver’s track,” Bark River rewards those who can adapt, find traction, and master the track’s rhythm — a fitting description for an event that represents the heart and soul of Midwest off-road racing.

The Polaris World Championships, held September 4–5, mark the biggest weekend in short-course off-road racing. The Big House in Crandon, Wisconsin, becomes a motorsports mecca as tens of thousands of fans fill the grandstands, campgrounds, and downtown streets for a weekend-long celebration of speed and tradition.
The event kicks off with a massive downtown parade, where every inch of Crandon is packed with fans and race vehicles before competition begins. Once the green flag drops, the world’s best off-road racers go head-to-head in pursuit of the prestigious Crandon Cup, a crown jewel that defines careers and cements legacies.
In addition to the Pro divisions, the World Championships serve as the final round for Sportsman championship points, adding another layer of intensity to the weekend. There is no atmosphere in motorsports quite like Labor Day at Crandon, a true off-road party that honors the past and propels the sport’s future.

The Glen Helen Off-Road National will once again close out the season, running September 25–26 at the historic Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California.
The 2025 return to Glen Helen drew a packed house and earned rave reviews from fans, drivers, and industry insiders alike. The venue’s steep climbs, massive jumps, and signature downhill sections create a high-speed test of skill and endurance that pushes both man and machine to the limit.
The buzz surrounding Glen Helen’s debut carried through the paddock, leaving the off-road world eagerly awaiting the 2026 encore. With championships on the line and Southern California’s motorsports community fully engaged, Glen Helen promises an unforgettable finale to the 2026 AMSOIL Championship Off-Road season.
